garo katilas statusas T sritis Energetika apibrėžtis Katilas gaminti vandens garui, naudojant kuro degimo šilumą arba technologinių krosnių karštus degimo produktus (utilizacinis katilas), arba elektros energiją (elektrinis garo katilas). Katilų konstrukcija dažniausiai būna arba vandens vamzdžių, arba dūmų vamzdžių. Katilą gali sudaryti kūrykla (jeigu deginamas kuras), garo perkaitintuvas (tik perkaitintojo garo katiluose), vandens šildytuvas (būdinga tik vidutiniams ir dideliems katilams), oro šildytuvas (būdinga drėgną kurą deginantiems arba dideliems katilams), būgnas (natūralios cirkuliacijos garo katiluose), apmūra, šilumos izoliacija, apsauginė, reguliavimo ir uždarymo armatūra (sklendės, vožtuvai ir pan.), garnitūras. atitikmenys: angl. steam boiler vok.
